What will my student be learning during tennis camp?
Big Hit Summer Tennis Camp instructors are professionally trained and background checked with experience working with a wide range of ages and skill sets. Our team of instructors are committed to embodying challenging yet enjoyable and fun tennis instruction through physical education and the technical sport of tennis.
During Tennis Camp, students are differentiated by skill level from learning the basic strokes all the way to learning how to rally and play matches. Our instructors follow United States Tennis Association (USTA) rules, regulations, and expectations to support and guide students to spark and grow a passion for the sport of a lifetime, tennis!
*For families looking for an intensive tennis training summer program geared towards competition and tournaments, this may not be the best fit program for your student.
What will my student be learning during learning camp?
Big Hit Summer Learning Camp teachers are certified and active State of Georgia educators under Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) and Atlanta Public Schools with over 15 years of experience combined. Our teachers are dedicated to cultivating positive learning environments through high-quality teaching, equitable whole group instruction, and differentiated small group work.
During Learning Camp, students will review current end-of-the-year material and transition into an introduction of rising beginning-of-the-year material. Our teachers utilize a combination of instructional resources and materials aligning with Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) and Gwinnett County’s Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS).
*For families looking for an intensive academic preparatory summer program geared towards workbook usage, this may not be the best fit program for your student.

Important Information
Child and Dependent Care
Big Hit Summer Camp does qualify for Child and Dependent Care Credit/Reimbursement. Please speak with your tax professional for more information on Dependent Care FSA.
Weather and Rainy Day Plan
Schedule and event locations may change, vary and differ accordingly based on inclement weather and/or camp leadership discretion. If there is inclement weather, tennis will still continue under a large covered patio or relocated to an available indoor space at Peachtree Ridge High School.
Meals
Please note that breakfast and lunch is not provided at camp. Students should eat a nutritional breakfast before coming to camp each day and pack a healthy packed lunch and snacks from home.
Pick Ups and Missed Days
Early student pick ups should be notified to staff in advance. Late pick ups will result in an additional charge of $3 per minute per student. There are No Refunds or makeup dates for missed days.
